All this, with the intention that the customer can receive products from different locations in Spain in a single delivery and in less than 24 hours from collection.
The transaction was led by Dozen Investments, an investment platform with expertise in the selection, analysis and monitoring of startups with high growth potential.
With this operation, HarBest's goal is to continue with the national expansion projected for 2022 and to further develop the app in order to improve the user experience to reduce food waste and CO2 emissions, creating a more sustainable planet.
👉 But let's tell you a little more.
Who is HarBest Market and how did it come about?
HarBest is a start-up founded by Mario Rey, Santiago Azurmendi and Álvaro Pérez. It was born in 2020 as a platform that is responsible for putting both ends of the supply chain in direct contact at a technological level and coordinating logistics so that hoteliers can receive all their references in a single delivery in less than 24 hours from the time the farmer harvests it. The main objective of this business is optimize processes and increase profitability for both hoteliers and farmers. Thus, it eliminates the four intermediaries that usually exist between the farmer and the hotelier. Through these operations, restaurants can save up to 30% in the purchase of fruit and vegetables; they receive fresher products; they know the real traceability of the origin of the products and achieve price stability.
